Here's the start of a flood of posts. I can't in good conscience leave friends, family and cyber stalkers in the dark about the goings on over here.

Last Thursday, I found myself falling head over heels for the musical stylings of Miss Lady Day, Billie Holiday. At the Franco-American Insitute of Rennes, a trio of musicians (vocals, guitar and double bass) performed about a couple dozen or so of Holiday's well-known and less well-known songs. ("I Cried For You", "A Fine Romance" and "Them There Eyes", to name a few.)
