The first stop on this weekend's trip was the quiet coastal village of Port Aven.
Give the map a try, just ignore the red arrow. There was no camping involved, but, thinking abut it, a sleeping bag probably would have been warmer than the hostel. (The other towns visited were Quimper, Concarneau, Pointe de Raz and Locronan.)
We stopped here for some lunch and to walk around a bit. I love it when the tide's out.
Mmm,mmm...
Cider for starters. It's so good once it hits the lips.
Another Bretagne delicacy, une galette complète (cheese, ham and egg).
Delicious!

do you use a knife and fork or just pick it up? It looks yummy. Where is the cider from? Is it sparkling? Strong?
That thing is fresh off the crêpe skillet, so it's piping hot and necessary to use the silverware. As for the cider, it's made in Brittany ("Amorique" is another name for this region); it's 5 percent alcohol, sparkling, unsweetened and delicious. I'll try to bring home some for Christmas.
